The Model

This is the first (and title) image (and print) from my newest series The Golden Age of Hollywood Part III: The Model. It is also the first image I shot at the 2009 Rorschach Marathon, and the first image I am uploading for 2010 on deviantART. Happy New Year!

_{I shot these using my camera hooked up to an external 19" flat screen tv with the camera on live preview so I could frame my shots. I had my assistant help with the camera positioning and minor lighting adjustments and then snapped the images using a 2 second timer triggered by a wireless remote hidden in my hand. I later had my assistant trigger the remote when it became apparent in some frames that the remote was visible.
Speaking of remotes, that is a working wired trigger on a 1903 Kodak Autographic camera (with original stylus!) but alas no film in it that day. The model's jewelery is courtesy of The =RorschachComplex and my vintage 1800's-style leather coat I purchased in Beijing, China.}
