The exterior of the world-famous Whiskey a Go Go on the even more famous Sunset Strip (aka "The Street that Rock Built"). On this stretch of road you can find the Viper Room, the Whiskey, The Rainbow Room, The Roxy & The Key Club, all within a few feet of each other. Bands like Guns & Roses, The Doors, Motley Crue and so many more got their start at Whiskey, so much so that Rock & Roll Hall of Fame declared it a historical venue for music.
I was there to shoot the band "Darling You're Stunning" (as seen on the marquee) for Avengeance Records, so I was allowed a pro camera in the club and almost all access. It was pretty epic. I will post some pics from the show, but this is just a pretty cool shot of the legendary club itself.

Did you have to run some noise removing software? I'm amazed at the smoothness at iso 800 with so much darkness in the image. Nice composition too. I would have thought it was actually taken with a wider angle lens, but you really managed well with just a 35mm.

I was actually shooting on my 18-200, I just thought it fit the frame nicely at 35. I don't think I ran Noise Ninja on this (I might have, but the DiGic4 processor doesn't really start showing noise until 1600 or 3200 ISO.)

Really good timing. It was 7pm and traffic was actually pretty thick.
